About Gerald Burke
Gerald Burke grew up in the mundaneness of Deer Park, TX with some great people who accepted this strange fellow as one of their own. He has way too many people to thank for keeping him from getting beat up on a regular basis.
He stumbled through college, earning a BA in History from the University of Houston in 2000—a mere nine years and ten months after starting. Afterwards he moved to Los Angeles to begin his career as a writer and subsequently remained in the teaching profession for twenty-four years. Don’t get it twisted. He’s a great teacher and his students would prefer he keep doing that. Most of them anyway.
At the moment, he lives in San Diego with his amazing wife Katy Perkins and their three pets—Shiela, Daisy and Peach. There’s probably a foster cat or two in the office but it’s hard to keep up sometimes.
